I am breaking my normal pattern of waiting 2 or 3 weeks to add a new post but this will be a short one. All summer we were trying to figure out a way to get our father back up to Wiarton. He hasn’t seen it with the new bimini other than on the blog. My sister Susan and her husband Tim were in town and offered to drive him up.
It was yet another beautiful day on the water.
We made sure he brought his captain’s hat along.

He took the boat out of the marina and drove it around the bay for a bit. He seemed pretty happy!

We anchored for a few hours so he could get that experience. We had a nice lunch which included some homemade tomato soup supplied by my sister.

He was able to bring us back and took us down the fairway where I took over and brought us into the dock. I guess all those years of driving big trucks in the army possibly taught him a thing or two about handling this beast.

Thanks again to Susan and Tim for getting him to Wiarton and back home in one day. It was a long day for him but I think it was worth it.

It was such a wonderful day….lots of great memories made !
